In February 2025, Rohan Reilly will personally guide an exclusive winter photography tour of the ancient island of Hokkaido in Japan. This 8-day long experience, for a small group of only 3 guests,  will provide many incredible opportunities to see and photograph both the architectural and natural beauty of this special place in winter, with the emphasis very much on minimalist compositions. There will be slideshows and presentations of processing images, plus one to one time and reviews. You won’t want to miss this rare opportunity to see Japan as this very talented fine art photographer sees it.

Rohan has been visiting and photographing the Japanese coast and countryside since 2013:  'As a small group of 3 I can't think of a better way to explore Hokkaido in winter. The cold weather and heavy covering of snow provides perfect opportunities to create beautiful minimalist photography without having to worry about a large group leaving footprints just where you don't want them!'

There will be plenty of opportunities for you to make your own unique images and Rohan will be nearby for assistance when needed. Starting and finishing in Sapporo Chitose Airport Hokkaido, you will visit some of the most spectacular seascapes and landscapes and there will be ample time to take the 'perfect' photo. You won't be on a tight schedule, as we really want the group to have the opportunity to stay in a given place for as long as needed.
